Behold! The son of the great Stoick the Vast, whose nordic ancestors hailed from the eastern shores of Norway and made the perilous journey to settle along the rocky coast of Vatnsfjörður, Iceland. The warrior's son is known by most as Hiccup Stoicksson, by others as Hiccup the Horrendous; the great great grandson of Hrafna-Flóki Vilgerðarson, and the future prince of Iceland. Through his stubbornness and clever wit should we rise victorious in the heat of any battle, praise be his name as he makes proud the men who came before him. Dismantling the olde viking tradition is no easy feat, yet the boy prince does so flawlessly. We raise a toast to honor our oath of loyalty to the prince, and should he die with honor, he shall have a seat at Odin's table in the Great Halls of Valhalla. Skol!

the island of berk had been known as a dragon utopia since the fall of drago , where many species around the archipelago flocked to . the young chief of berk , now growing into his role , wanted to keep this sanctuary and continue to rescue these dragons from wicked dragon hunters . It was peaceful for a while now, but with a notoriously cunning hunter named grimmel making his presence known to the berkians, the future safety of their dragons grows murky. Hiccup’s leadership is put to the test , and the lives of his people are in jeopardy , where hiccup must make the final choice: to protect his own, or protect the dragons.

With the threat of Drago diminished for now, the newly acquainted Chief of Berk must rebuild his home in the wake of utter destruction. Hiccup’s struggles lie far beyond his chiefly responsibilities, however. With the death of his father weighing his shoulders, and the shock of his (very alive) mother & being thrust into a role of leadership, he must find a way to adjust during the most pivotal years of his life. He is but a boy aged beyond his years, & yet his search for self identity still lies far beyond his own understanding. Only in time could he come to realize his greatness ; one step at a time.

race to the edge

Wanderlust permeates his veins as he yearns for adventure, bringing his fellow dragon riders along in his explorations. While the gang are just as eager to discover new species of dragons, the sudden rise of dragon hunters have threatened their very existence. Hiccup has now made it his mission to bring an end to the (supposed) leader Viggo Grimborn, and he is consistently hurtled through many twists and obstacles along the way. He begins to see the importance of trust, loyalty, and friendship; traits in which he found in the most unlikely of vikings. (sub-verses for each season available).

No more than the runt of the litter, little Hiccup Haddock was a nobody in the small village of Berk. He found solace among the shadows in which he doodled during most of his time. His scrawny figure made it impossible to wield an axe, and the stark difference from his father made their relationship strained at best. He wished for nothing more than to fit in, to kill a dragon; and when presented with the opportunity to do so from his own hand, he choked. And in this moment something within him changed; Hiccup saw the beasts as more than just bloodthirsty killers. What he didn’t know, however, was that his revelation would soon change the outlook vikings had on dragons for the rest of history. Finally, in his fourteen years living in his father’s shadow, he has found his purpose: to save the dragons.

once there were dragons

the choice was clear for the rising chieftain of where his loyalty must lie . the dragons he had grown to love were no longer safe in their world , and a hidden world beneath the earth’s crust provided sanctuary for which dragons and humans could finally live in peace . it was not an easy decision , but it was one made with haste , as humans did not deserve to live with dragons . he did it to protect berk , and to protect the dragons . so with a final goodbye, hiccup sent the dragons off to the edge of the world , only to hope to ever see them again in passing clouds or in the roar of the wind. From this day forward , his new life began ; a life without toothless, a life without dragons . (canon compliant ending).

dragon utopia

there was no defeating the young chief of berk and his sidekick, toothless. They had always been unstoppable , on an endless mission to destroy every dragon hunter to exist . grimmel was no easy target , but the pair (along with the help of the gang and the support of berkians) aided in his downfall, where dragons and humans could coexist once more . (canon non-compliant ending).

berserker

he was but a babe not meant to live past birth . small, frail, and incredibly sick , the village had sworn that the child of the chief would be dead before sunrise . in brutal humiliation , the chieftain had taken the babe to the sea, in hopes that the memory of this child will be long forgotten… What was not expected, however, was for young hiccup to be swept up by other forces, nursed into good health, and to live among a tribe much different than berk ; the home of oswald the great - berserker island . (inspiration) Alternatively, the young babe of the chief of berk was discovered by a nearby tribe, and taken in as their own. It was a young Sierra who had found his basket floating near shore that very night, and since his discovery, they had become the most unlikely of friends . (semi - private with xenovair).

runaway

everything that he had known about dragons was all wrong. Having shot down a night fury and finding him hurt, alone, and scared in the woods made Hiccup realize that these beasts were simply misunderstood. He dare not face his father with these facts; he had been known as the outcast for far too long, that finding a friend in toothless was truly all that he needed. Instead of returning home from the grove like he had done every night , he took flight; hiccup escaping this self-made prison with naught but the clothes on his back, off to forge a new life with his dragon friend. One thing is for certain - hiccup never looked back . (alternate ending to httyd).

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III was born from a long line of nords residing in the snow-ridden city of Windhelm. His father, the leader of the Stormcloaks, was the epitome of what he always envisioned himself to be. However, as time went on, he came to realize that he was less like his father than he thought. Bloodlust was void from his being, and he felt compelled to spare the beasts that terrorized all of Skyrim. Peace was impossible to reach, and the threat of war against the imperials came swift to his doorstep. Hiccup feared his father’s disappointment, yet he couldn’t bear staining his sword crimson. And so he fled; his horse his only companion as he traveled west. Soon he came across the Throat of the World, discovering the Greybeards who settled at the mountain’s peak. The power of the Thu'um echoed in his chest, and the rogue thought that maybe, just maybe, he found his home after all.

Accepted into the prestigious San Fransokyo Institute of Technology by the age of 16, robotics engineering major Hiccup Haddock was thought to be one of the most innovative minds of his time. He specializes in bot creation, utilizing his fascination with dragons as a template in his designs. While the young teen is adamant in his classwork and maintains a steady GPA, Hiccup also involves himself in bot fighting. Most of his ideas are born in the midst of the fights, so he finds himself attending regularly; making sure to mask his identity as best he could when in the “Dragon’s Den”. He’s known as the Dragon Master – a reputable name given how advanced his particular bot was. While seemingly cat-like, his dragon-esque creation “Toothless” holds quite a few abilities: the most notable being its flame turrets on its back that rotate 360 degrees, along with razor claws and being incredibly aerodynamic. It’s a source of pride for the young prodigy, and his current project is to create an upgraded version of Toothless so that it can be used for defensive strategies. It isn’t until Hiro Hamada and the uprising of the Big Hero Six that Hiccup is finally able to complete his project; using Toothless to help fight crime & creating an outfit of his own that housed many of the powers his bot did : it is known as the DragonFly. With these inventions at his fingertips, Hiccup is certain that he could be virtually indestructible … but is he really?

The Prince of Berk; an unlikely title for an unlikely heir. Hiccup was not eager to inherit the role of being King one day, as he felt his heart belonged elsewhere. He is a man who plants no roots & finds himself yearning for the unknown. Often the prince finds himself sneaking away from the confines of his castle to travel, his trusty horse Toothless accompanying him along the way. And in his time of youth and adventure, he meets a vast array of individuals of many descents, some of which have left a lasting impression on his mind for years to come.

he is of two worlds; master of the night, a nightmare lurking in the shadows. with skin inkstained black and piercing green eyes glowing with ferocity, hiccup haddock is feared among men who dare cross his path as a monster. It is only the disguise of his familiar that passes him as normal within a crowd, but the changeling is far from this world. thrust in the middle of a war, he must decide his loyalty; it is trolls against trollhunter now, and if he is to see freedom from the chains of gunmar’s will, then he knows what he must do: even if it means to betray everyone he has once held most dear.

An exiled prince thrown from the kingdom of Berk, the young witcher had made a life on the move; never staying too long in any one place, collecting gold in return for taking care of the dragon problems plaguing different countries. He’s no longer known as the prince he once was, now he is the Dragon Master to all who cross his path. They know naught of his methods to rid of the beasts, but the tales spread across the land leave many fearing his wrath. Often Hiccup finds himself hopping between various inns and taverns, awaiting his next mission. But what they do not know about him, is that he is not the enemy; there is a far greater threat to these dragons, and the people, than they know. (open to all; group verse with rpnzel and hvessa).
